TEAM ONE Identity expansion
An exploration of the Team One brand identity, expanding on its existing visual language through a series of new concepts, applications, and design iterations. I helped to reimagine how the brand could show up across physical and digital touchpoints while maintaining its core identity and introducing a more expressive, contemporary visual system.
Exisitng Branding
When I was brought onto the project, Team One had a general look and feel already developed including a logo, typogaphy, and a series of symbols; all revolving around the conceot of combining the modern world with classic luxury.
Icons
When I first started, they had a small collection of icons. I expanded on that system and created new icons in order to maintain brand continuity in multiple situations and to flesh out a full system of graphic elements.
3D Explorations
Using the 3D modeling software Blender, I created some images using the logo, type, and graphic elements that were used across multiple platforms such as LinkedIn and Zoom.
ASCII
I coded a generative tool using Processing that allowed us to import images and videos to create custom ASCII-inspired artworks using the graphic symbols we had developed.
Stationary
I created a stationary system that paired down the visuals into a more simplified modern look that focused more on function rather than flashy visuals. However, I still included interesting techniques and surprises within the touchpoints.
Social / Informative
When expanding the branding into the social media, I created a system that utilizes only the blue as a way to unify the entire feed. I worked through each type of press post we had to create a new on-brand template that could be used by the social team.
Social / Creative
Along with the informative style posts, I concepted and created a media series of creative posts that showed our rbandign system in a new way and allowed our feed to not only speak about our impact on culture, but to create it as well.
Merch
Part of the brand relaucnh was creating merch items that would be both public and private facing in order show our contact with and interest in modern culture.
Spatial Design
I expanded the branding into spatial applicatiosn arounf the Los Angeles office. I employed multiple techniques and designs; from wallpaper, to cut vinyl, to acrylic artifacts. I also included some of the concept designs that were unused.
